ABOUT
I an artist, designer maker based in South Wales. I create 3D sculptural pieces for aesthetic purposes. Inspired by connecting contrasting materials together enables me to create different textures and visual effects for the viewer. The juxtaposition of material qualities evokes different emotional responses to the pieces. The interest in, and making of objects which fill an interior space giving the space a purpose, whether in a personal, commercial or business environment is what I like to explore.
The passion to create art, experimenting with a range of materials helps to continue to develop and create new original ideas. Concentrating on lengthy processes, involving numerous elements, resulting with bespoke artworks allows myself to go on a personal journey from beginning to end.
Using the mundane glass vessel as the core of the pieces converting its appearance to form a new function and design that inspire simple human interactions. Their obscureness lets you determine their function with Interior objects that adapt to their environment. Experimental works with the testing of different kiln temperatures which allow different expanses of glass manipulation which make the vessels unique. Submerged in bronze bases creates a material contrast of transparency and density to harmonize as one object. They create stylish environments for entertaining, dinning and decorating.
